Smooth Landing Lyrics
[Verse 1]
Houston, hey, from the rocket ship
I thought outer space wouldn’t feel like this
Far away and I’m all alone
Guess I had to leave to wanna go back home
[Pre-Chorus]
I miss the way it was
I’ve seen enough
[Chorus]
Lifted off, just lookin’ for a place among the stars
I fell in love with flyin’, but it took me out too far
I been up here so long, and now the only thing I want is a
Smooth landing
[Verse 2]
To find myself, I needed space and time
A little love and some peace of mind
Let me lay in bed, watch Him paint the room with sunlight
And stare right into my baby’s eyes
Dreams made me crave being awake
[Chorus]
Lifted off, just lookin’ for a place among the stars
I fell in love with flyin’, but it took me out too far
I been up here so long, and now the only thing I want is a
Smooth landing
[Interlude]
Smooth, smooth
Smooth, smooth landing
Smooth, smooth
Smooth, smooth
[Chorus]
Lifted off, just lookin’ for a place among the stars (Yeah)
I fell in love with flyin’, but it took me out too far (Mm)
I been up here so long, and now the only thing I want is a
Smooth landing
