Rapture Lyrics
[Verse 1]
Look at all the time that you wasted
You could put the fire out at any time
Too afraid to face it, got to fly higher
Try to keep the animal inside
One too many secrets to hide
And I cannot hold on
[Pre-Chorus]
I alone will this divine, my holy calling
[Chorus]
I saw the light, I saw the light
Out of the dark I finally saw the light
I let it take me
Lifted my head with open eyes
You’re gonna drown in all the tears that we cried
And I can feel the rapture
[Verse 2]
Sinners make your way to the altar
Heavy is the crown, bloody is the jewеl
Money is the God that you answer to
Whеn will it be enough?
You can’t even look me in the eyes
Afraid of the reflection you’d find in mine
‘Cause I, I see right through your lies
[Chorus]
I saw the light, I saw the light
Out of the dark I finally saw the light
I let it take me
Lifted my head with open eyes
You’re gonna drown in all the tears that we cried
And I can feel the rapture
[Post-Chorus]
Let it take me
Oh, let me go
[Bridge]
I’m giving back all the shame I carried for you
Now tell the truth just like you taught me to
[Chorus]
I saw the light, I saw the light
Out of the dark I finally saw the light
I let it take me
Lifted my head with open eyes
You’re gonna drown in all the tears that we cried
And I can feel the rapture
[Outro]
Can you feel the rapture?
I can feel the rapture
