Present Lyrics
[Verse 1]
They always prayed on my downfall, you know they always said it
Now everybody show me big love like it’s happy belated, oh
I see the hate all in they eyes
And when that hate don’t work, they gon’ start tellin’ lies
But I ain’t never gon’ show not love ’cause mama raised me right
[Chorus]
Now I got VVS on my necklace
Can’t even spell Patek, they respect it
I got no more checks on my checklist
‘Cause ain’t no gifts like this in the present
No, the present is you
No, the present is you
[Verse 2]
Have to try and ease my mind
‘Cause if I stay, I’ll just be anxious
Stayed and tried to realign
If I don’t make space, I can’t keep chasin’ (Chase)
Save this love and speak, it’s fine, oh
But if I don’t come home, just be patient
I know I’m not present now, I needed time
And if I don’t call back, just keep waitin’ (Waitin’)
[Chorus]
Now I got VVS on my necklace
Can’t even spell Patek, they respect it
I got no more checks on my checklist
Ain’t no gifts like this in the present
No, the present is you
No, the present is you
[Outro]
Ooh, uh, ooh
Da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-da-doo
Ooh, uh
Da-da-da-da-da-ooh
