Release Date	7/10/2026

[Verse 1]
News up on the bed late
I’m missing someone’s son I never met
Boyfriend crying, “Baby was the one”
Apathetic faces say, “A better world is where he’s at”
Well, what about the one

[Chorus]
Where they were kissing?
Couldn’t make it good?
Where they were kissing?
Couldn’t make it good?

[Verse 2]
I’m flashing back now, an empty baseball field
They found him pants down, face-to-ground
Nothing left to feel, rumor took town
Dead-set to keep unhealed
He went to prom still, found a boy there

[Chorus]
And they were kissing
Couldn’t make it good
But they were kissing
Couldn’t make it good

[Bridge]
And when we fast forward
We’ll spend the summer lying to your landlord
Like “I don’t sleep here, I’m a friend”
Couple next door warns us to
“Be aware, some people hate what we’re about”

[Chorus]
But we keep on kissing
We can’t make it good
But we’re still kissing
Like we can make it good
We keep on kissing
We can’t make it good
But we’re still kissing
Like we can make it good
