Better Dayz Lyrics – D12

Better Dayz Lyrics

[Intro: Melanie Rutherford]
Hey

[Verse 1: Kuniva & Melanie Rutherford]
I know you can’t control it (Nah)
Tears rolling down your face while you scrolling
Self-esteem is low, results from the trolling (Yeah)
That you constantly endure
No matter how many accounts that you block
You can’t get ’em to stop (Mm)
You stress, this shit is a lot
You log off, but it’s too late
Them words that you read got your chest in a knot (Woo)
And they infested and rotting your thoughts (Uh-huh)
They got you really thinking all of your wins are a loss (Uh)
You start to question, what’s the point of you living at all? (Ooh)
You’re feeling tired, not depressed ’cause you’ve given your all (Damn, yeah)
‘Cause all they seem to do is point out your failures and flaws (Uh-huh, yeah)
And real life is just thе same because it’s hard to meet a rеal friend (Oh)
And if you had one, you wouldn’t hesitate to give ’em a call (Hello)
But don’t forget you got yourself and you done made it this far (That’s right)
Don’t ever give ’em the satisfaction of seeing you fall (Nah)
Hold your chin up, you are destined for greatness (Hey)
When your back’s to the wall, know that better days are coming

[Chorus: Swifty McVay, Kuniva & Melanie Rutherford]
I know this world ain’t been honest and right (No)
But don’t you ever get to robbing your life
‘Cause better days are coming (Better days)
See, God would never let you out of His sight (Yeah)
You gotta stop yourself from robbing your life
‘Cause better days are coming (Woah)
There’s greater things to live for (Hey)
Consider me your friend or your kinfolk
We living in a world full of weirdos, it’s not even right (Yeah)
But it ain’t worth it, don’t go robbing your life
‘Cause better days are coming

[Verse 2: Swifty McVay & Melanie Rutherford]
I’m not here pretending to be your friend (Ooh, no, no, no)
Comprehend, you gotta stop digging into your skin with that switchblade (Oh)
Your mama gave birth to an amazing baby
That grew up to be a courageous lady
Now, to this day (Word, word, word)
I’m gonna blame it on your father ’cause he bitch-made
He always hanging with that bottle with his fist raised (Oh)
And why your mama didn’t stop him when he invaded (My God, my God, my God)
Your privacy and tried to fondle you? That shit’s crazy
And now you’re crying with a box of razors
Trying to take away the life God gave you (Yeah)
I’m praying to the Savior
That He will rearrange and change your situation, enabling you to make it (He will, yes, He will)
Your life’s sacred
Whether you’re filled with faith or an atheist
The devil ain’t gon’ take you away from us (No, he ain’t)
I’m writing this rhyme to let you know I’m by your side if you’re sobbing (Hey)
If you ever think of robbing your life, just call me

[Chorus: Swifty McVay, Kuniva & Melanie Rutherford]
I know this world ain’t been honest and right (I know this world)
But don’t you ever get to robbing your life
‘Cause better days are coming (Better days)
See, God would never let you out of His sight
You gotta stop yourself from robbing your life
‘Cause better days are coming
There’s greater things to live for (Oh)
Consider me your friend or your kinfolk (Yeah)
We living in a world full of weirdos, it’s not even right (Ah)
But it ain’t worth it, don’t go robbing your life
‘Cause better days are coming

[Bridge: Melanie Rutherford]
When times get hard, just know there’s someone else who understands (Understands)
Have faith in God and know your future is in your hands
‘Cause you got so much life to live and so much beauty inside your soul
So keep your head up high and you’ll get by, oh-oh
‘Cause better days are coming

[Chorus: Swifty McVay, Kuniva & Melanie Rutherford]
I know this world ain’t been honest and right
But don’t you ever get to robbing your life (My God, my God)
‘Cause better days are coming (Better days)
See, God would never let you out of His sight (Woah, woah)
You gotta stop yourself from robbing your life
‘Cause better days are coming (Better days are coming)
There’s greater things to live for (Oh)
Consider me your friend or your kinfolk (Yeah)
We living in a world full of weirdos, it’s not even right (Woah)
But it ain’t worth it, don’t go robbing your life
‘Cause better days are coming

[Outro: Melanie Rutherford]
Better days, better days
Better days
Better days, better days
Better days
Better days
Better days
Coming, coming, coming
