rewire Lyrics
[Verse 1]
Trace the pathways like the veins of a tree (Veins of a tree)
To the root of the fault, what’s missing in me (Missing in me)
Electric highways, subliminal shame (Subliminal shame)
Told myself a story
[Pre-Chorus]
How do you wash out the stain? (Stain)
Stain (Stain)
[Chorus]
Rewire my system
Delete the blame in my body
Rewire what’s written
Uncode the guilt that I carry
[Instrumental Break]
[Verse 2]
My optimistic demeanor won’t get me very far
I’m fighting demons while I’m crushed under all my broken parts (Mm)
[Pre-Chorus]
Ooh, the stain (Ooh)
Stain (Stain)
[Chorus]
Rewire my system
Delete the blame in my body
Rewire (Ooh) what’s written
Uncode the guilt that I carry
[Bridge]
Let go of the guilt I carry
Let go of the guilt I carry
Let go of the guilt I carry
Let go of the guilt I carry
[Outro]
Ah, ah
Guilt that I carry
Ah, ah
Guilt that I carry
