“Wide Open Heart” is the closing track on Evanescence’s sixth studio album, Sanctuary.… Read More [Verse 1]
Right here all along
It’s been here reawakened after so long
Out from inside
After all, I’m still alive
This is the end, the beginning, the space between
[Chorus]
Facing the weight of the world
With a wide open heart
Awaiting the fate of the world
Are we fine letting it all just fall apart?
When you lean into the pain
You find out who you are
Don’t let it go to waste
‘Cause we’re facing the weight of thе world
With a wide open heart
Shinе the light that’s still left in us
[Verse 2]
Sweet dreams fade away
Disappear in the rush of our hurricane
And I know I’m only dust
But you can’t kill real love
That’s the one thing
The one thing they can’t touch
[Chorus]
Facing the weight of the world
With a wide open heart
Awaiting the fate of the world
Are we fine letting it all just fall apart?
When you lean into the pain
You find out who you are
Don’t let it go to waste
‘Cause we’re facing the weight of the world
With a wide open heart
Shine the light that’s still left in us
(Oh, oh, oh, oh)
[Chorus]
Facing the weight of the world
With a wide open heart
Awaiting the fate of the world
Are we fine letting it all just fall apart?
When you lean into the pain
You find out who you are
Don’t let it go to waste
‘Cause we’re facing the weight of the world
With a wide open heart
