Wash You Off (Girls In California) Lyrics
[Verse 1]
You had me in a daze
Eye of a hurricane
Now I’m fighting against the waves
You pulled us both below
You wouldn’t let me go
And now I’m reaching for the boat
[Pre-Chorus]
We dove in head first
Yeah it hurts
When you’re in so deep
You breathe and it turns to
Losing sleep
No peace
Now you’re spiraling
[Chorus]
Don’t fall for girls in California
They’ll call it love, then set the sun straight into your eyes
All your friends’ll try to warn ya
‘Til you’re wrapped around her finger, chasing the high
Yeah, she’ll lie at your feet
Drag you down with the heat
And she’s still burning me, honestly
No, it don’t rain in California
So I had to go and wash her off, wash her off of me
(Hey, mm)
[Verse 2]
I’m better in the shade
Threw out our picture frames
I think I just forgot your name
You can shower off your feelings
But it won’t hide the truth
That darling I would hate to be you
[Chorus]
Don’t fall for girls in California
They’ll call the love, then set the sun straight into your eyes
All your friends’ll try to warn you
‘Til you’re wrapped around her finger, chasing the high
Yeah, she’ll lie at your feet
Drag you down with the heat
And she’s still burning me, honestly
No, it don’t rain in California
So I had to go and wash her off, wash her off of me
[Outro]
Lip stain go away
Finally leaving down the drain
Wash you off of me
Don’t you come another day
Lip stain go away
Finally leaving down the drain
Wash you off of me
Don’t you come another day
Lip stain go away
Finally leaving down the drain
Wash you off of me
Don’t you come another day
